Other issues

Thanks for putting this together, Lauren.

A couple of additional items that my husband, Jon, and I recently brought up with Rhonda:

1. Parking. Contractors, homeowners and guests frequently park behind our row (S. Four Mile Run Dr.) blocking garage access. I've asked that "No Parking" signs be placed behind this area and was told that signs have been ordered.

2. Landscaping & Watering. We inquired about landscaping issues and were told that the landscapers will be back within a year of planting to replace dead plants. Additionally, we contacted Atlas Plumbing (we must go through Atlas or risk voiding home warranty) about adding a hose bib at the front of our house to keep our landscaping green and were quoted $200 for the job. Not a bad price, although it would have made more sense for Stanley Martin to add them during construction.

Welcome

Hello!  My name is Lauren and my fiance (Brian) and I live in 2658 S. Kenmore Court and I have started this blog to address any issues that arise in our community.  I have created this blog as well as the following e-mail address:  shirlingtoncrestowners@gmail.com.  I can also be reached at 707-631-0800 or feel free to stop by at any time!!

At this point in time there are two issues that I am attempting to address with Stanley Martin.

1)  The lack of attention to the maintenance of the existing landscaping.   Many of you have already complained to Steve Rugan that the landscaping is not being maintained properly.  The common areas especially the grass is in need of a regular watering schedule.  Additionally, in the long term we need to evaluate to cost of watering the common areas (Water Truck, owners watering or a HOA owned sprinkler system).  This issues is compounded by the fact that unit owners do not have access to water from the front of their residences.  Stanley Martin has addressed this issue by stating that the facet is in the garage and a hose and be run through your residence.  I find this to be unacceptable.

2) The need for a community meeting.  I am still researching the requirement for these meetings.  I believe they are required to conduct these meetings every quarter, however I can not confirm this statement.

Lastly, please e-mail me with your e-mail address and I will add you to the listing to be able to add posts to this listing.  However, int he meantime if you have information that you would like posted please just let me know and I will post it immediately.

Thank you and I look forward to working and meeting you all!
